FaST PROGRAMME NOTES – Leamington The wait is over – let battle commence! Welcome to the start of a new league season and to our visitors, Leamington FC, who I believe are paying their first visit to Cherrywood Road. We hope you enjoy the game and that our stadium treats you all well.Farnborough Supporters Trust (FaST) was created to address a real financial threat that could have closed the Old Farnborough Town for good. The arrival of our new owner, Simon Hollis thankfully averted the need for the Trust to take on the task of running the club, and we now revert to our more comfortable role of binding supporters together and assisting in raising money towards the ongoing and magnificent refurbishment of Cherrywood Road.If you would like to help in our mission, there are at least three things you could do this afternoon. - You could become a FaST member, or renew your membership for the coming year. For just £10 you are not only tangibly showing your support for Farnborough’s future, but also giving yourself the opportunity to save a large chunk of money on away travel. FaST members will be at the table this afternoon to give you all necessary information
- You could buy a brick paver, have it engraved with the message of your choice, and see it placed forever just inside the brand new (and ex-Chelsea) turnstiles. The Buy-a-Brick campaign is a unique opportunity for you to contribute to the Ground Development Fund and have your own name or message permanently recorded within the new development. Each brick paver costs just £25 which includes installation and high quality black engraved lettering. To make that extra special impact why not go for gold lettering and stand out from the crowd for £35? Full details and the application form are on the web site. www.farnboroughtrust.org.uk
- If you haven’t already, you could buy tickets for the 50/50 draw. Quite simply 50% of the proceeds goes to the winner, the other 50% to FaST funds. The draw, and the half-time bucket collection, is proving more popular with each game, so don’t miss out.
