Since the departure of Stuart Bazen and Martin Price, the FaST Board has been without representation from the youth teams. We are delighted to have now rectified that, and welcome Malcolm Upward to the Board. Malcolm was proposed, seconded and elected at FaST's Board meeting last week and takes up his position with immediate effect.
Malcolm has been Chairman of Farnborough Youth FC since April 2008 but has been a manager/coach at the club since 2003.
The Youth setup currently has in excess of 110 registered players in eight teams of under 18 age groups. They also have a Sunday group to provide an introduction to football for four & five year olds. In March 2009, the club achieved FA Charter Standard status.
The youth teams, which run independently from Farnborough FC's Youth Academy, are a vital part of the club's future and we are delighted that Malcolm has agreed to join the FaST Board
